1. What exactly does KOA Advisory do? 

We help brands build and sharpen what they stand for, then bring it to life — through brand strategy, brand experience, content and any kind of activation.

 

2. Which industries do you work with? 

All of them. Our work is brand-led, not industry-led – the questions a strong brand has to answer are the same whether it sells cars, software or skincare. For category-specific depth, we bring in trusted specialists from our network on a project basis.

 

3. Are you an agency or a consultancy? 

Neither in the traditional sense. KOA is an advisory practice with a senior core and a curated network of specialists we activate when a project calls for them. No agency overhead, no junior layers – but full execution capability when needed.

 

4. How does the specialist network work? 

For every project, we assemble the right team around the brief – production, design, strategy, talent, tech, category experts. You get one senior point of contact and a team built specifically for your project, not a fixed roster looking for billable hours.

 

5. Who do you typically work with? 

Marketing leaders, brand directors and founders who need senior counsel and hands-on delivery in equal measure – across industries, company sizes and stages.

 

6. What kind of engagements do you take on? 

Three formats, mostly:

  • Advisory retainers – ongoing sparring with in-house teams
  • Project leads – end-to-end ownership of a defined activation, campaign or content piece
  • Concept & strategy sprints – short, focused engagements to unlock a specific question

 

7. Do you help with brand positioning and strategy, or mainly with execution?

Both — and in that order. Many engagements start with a strategy sprint: positioning, narrative and messaging architecture. That foundation then shapes how we approach activation, content and experience. If the strategy is already solid, we come in at execution. If it isn't, we start there.

 

8. Do you also produce content and run events yourselves? 

Yes. Concept, production and post-production are core to what we do. For live experiences, we lead concept and execution, working with vetted production partners on the ground.

 

9. How is KOA different from a traditional agency? 

Three things:

  • The people who win the project also do the work.
  • We say no when a brief doesn't make sense – or when we're not the right fit.
  • We're built lean by design, scaled by network when the project calls for it.

 

10. How do we start working together? 

A 30-minute intro call. No deck, no pitch theatre – just a conversation about what you're trying to solve. If there's a fit, we follow up with a written proposal within a week.
